Base E, Stonington Island

I'm pleased to say that the Conservation Team for our season in Antarctica is now complete and we are busy preparing for our project on Stonington Island. Whilst we will be carrying out vital survey work and emergency repairs to the British, Base E we are also pleased to be undertaking survey work for the American East Base. The whole team is working hard to procure all the materials required and get them shipped out to the Falkland Islands ahead of us arriving, and we are pressing on with our tasking schedules and training.

I'm very excited to be attending Wilderness Survival training in Aviemore, Scotland in November! I'm hoping to have an interesting blog post following that!

For now this is just a short update but I'm pleased to share a photo of Base E (courtesy of the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust) to give you all an idea of where we are heading :-)
